Community health day screens more than four hundred people

The health secretariat held its community health day at the club office in Oud Metha over the weekend, with free screening for blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index and vision.

More than four hundred people attended across the two days. Twenty-nine were referred on for follow-up care through the clinics the club works with.

Referral pathway

The secretariat contacts anyone referred within a week. Where a person has no medical insurance, the secretariat works with partner hospitals to arrange reduced-cost care.
