About the fees

A twelve-month subscription costs exactly the amount the club's articles of association fix, and the board cannot change it. The three- and six-month terms are the same rate for a shorter period. Your term runs from the day your membership starts and ends on its own date, so there is no part-year to calculate.

Who may join

  • You are of legal age under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
  • You are of good conduct, and have not been convicted of a crime or of an offence against honour or trust, unless your standing has been restored.
  • If you are not a UAE national, you hold valid UAE residency of at least three years and do not hold diplomatic status.

What membership gives you

  • Attend general assembly meetings and vote on their resolutions.
  • Stand for election to the board of directors three months after joining.
  • Take part in the club's activities and use its facilities.
  • Inspect the club's records and reports, on formal request.
  • Receive the club's bulletins and publications.
  • Reduced rates on the club's specialist services, conferences and seminars.

What membership asks of you

  • Work towards the club's objectives, and avoid anything that harms it or its reputation.
  • Observe the articles of association, the internal regulations and the board's resolutions.
  • Pay the annual subscription when it falls due.
  • Avoid any conflict between your own interests and the club's.

How to apply

  1. Submit your application

Complete the membership form and hand it to the club secretary with your supporting documents.

  2. The board reviews it

The board of directors takes up your application at its first meeting after you submit it. If the board refuses, it tells you why.

  3. Pay and register

Once the board accepts you, pay the joining fee and your first subscription within thirty days of the notice. The secretary then enters you in the register of members.

Apply for membership

The secretary handles membership applications at the club office in Oud Metha. Applying online, and signing in to an account, both come in a later phase of this website.
