Editorial policy
How the club decides what appears on this site, and how to raise a correction.
Who publishes
The media secretariat writes the news and announcements, working with the secretariat or branch the story concerns. The board answers for everything the club says in public.
Approval before publication
The club's articles of association require it to obtain approval before issuing any cultural, media or informational product through print, audio, visual or digital media. Nothing reaches this site outside that process. Where an item carries an approval reference, the club records the reference against it.
What we do not publish
The club publishes no political content and campaigns for no candidate and no party. It publishes nothing that conflicts with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with public order, or with its own articles of association. It publishes no opinion poll and no field research without first obtaining the approval those require.
Accuracy and corrections
We publish only what we can stand behind. When we get something wrong we fix it on the item itself and say that we changed it, with the date. To raise a correction, write to the media secretariat through the contact form under “Press and media”, and tell us which item and what is wrong in it.
Advertising and editorial
We label a paid placement “Advertisement” and keep it visually apart from what the club reports. An advertiser has no say in the reporting. No advertisement appears until the board approves it.
Photography and consent
The club photographs its own events. If you would rather not appear in a photograph we have published, tell the media secretariat and we will take it down.
