About the club
Founded in 1974 as the house of Sudanese people in Dubai, and the mother club for every Sudanese association in the United Arab Emirates.
History
The Sudanese Social Club was founded in Dubai in 1974 and formally registered in 1978, under number 16, by Ministerial Decree 18 of 1978. It is a public-benefit association.
The late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum granted the club the land it stands on. Engineer Kamal Hamza, director of Dubai Municipality from 1961 to 1985, was the club's first chairman of the board.
In law the Dubai club is the mother club, with branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.

That the club becomes a fitting meeting place for the Sudanese community and their families, and a beacon in the cultural, scientific and social advancement of society in the Emirates, at home and abroad.
Mission
To contribute to a social, recreational, service and professional environment that endures alongside the community, and to advance every member of the Sudanese community in the United Arab Emirates through modern technology and every available means, without compromising the community's values.

The board's work is divided among ten secretariats, each responsible for a field of the club's activity.
General Secretariat
Administration, records and correspondence. The first point of contact for the club.
Education Secretariat
The club's education academy, courses and training, and support for students.
Health Secretariat
Health days, clinic partnerships and reduced-cost medical care for the community.
Media Secretariat
The club's news, publications and public communications.
Cultural Secretariat
Cultural evenings, music, theatre and poetry, and the club's cultural magazine.
Sports Secretariat
Tournaments, the sports academy and the club's teams.
Professional & Non-Professional Groups
The professional divisions under the club's umbrella: engineers, doctors, teachers and others.
Finance & Commercial Development
The club's finances, investments, sponsorship and advertising.
Social Affairs & Women
Family and social support, and the women's programme.
Youth
Programmes for young members of the community and volunteer teams.
